The Big BangTheory
The Big Bang theory is one of the most supported theories of how the universe began. The theory is that the universe was in a hot dense state until a giant explosion of energy made the universe expand to what it is today and it is still expanding today. In 1927, George Lemaitre (pictured left) proposed this theory and in 1929, Edwin Hubble (pictured above text) discovered that the universe is expanding as he found out about redshift from of galaxies, which supports Leimaitre's proposition. The main evidence for this theory is Redshift. Redshift is the red light shown by other galaxies as they are moving at a faster rate than the Milky Way.

The Steady State Theory
The steady state theory is an obsolete theory of how the universe originated. This theory states that the universe has always existed and always will exist. In 1948, Fred Hoyles (pictured left), Thomas Gold and Hermann Bondi started to argue for the steady state theory. After many years in which the theory was highly rejected by other scientists, who favoured the Big Bang Theory, the steady state theory was given its knockout blow with the discovery of background radiation, which fits in to the Big Bang theory and not into the the steady state theory.

The Genesis Creation
The Genesis Creation is the theory that Catholics (like I am) and the Jews believe how the universe began. Catholics and Jews believe that God created the Universe and the Earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. This is written in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament of The Bible.

Evidence of the big bang theory
Redshift
Redshift is the light waves that galaxies moving further away from the Milky Way, our galaxy. Galaxies further away from us have greater redshift than galaxies closer to us. This proves that the universe is indeed expanding and supports the Big Bang Theory more than the Steady State Theory

The Hubble Constant
The Hubble Constant is part of Edwin Hubble's research into the movement of the galaxies. This essentially changed what we thought about the universe. This brought the first evidence that the universe was expanding. Hubble measured two properties in the galaxies he researched-the galaxies distance from our galaxy (Milky Way) in megaparsecs (Mpc) and it's recession velocity (Km/s). The galaxies with negative recession velocities used to be going faster than the Milky Way but now we are gradually catching up to them.

Cosmic Background Radiation
Cosmic Background Radiation is electromagnetic that fills the universe. This radiation can only by discovered by a radio telescope which makes it appear as a faint glow. This cosmic background radiation is radiation left over from early evolution of the universe. This is proof that there was a Big Bang and therefore supporting the theory of it.

The Bible
The Bible is the most read book in the world and it has proof of the Genesis Creation written in it. It is the only place to read about it anywhere.

Other proof would be finding the ruins of the Garden of Eden but no one has found it yet.
